Erasmus+ Spaces for Intercultural Learning
Six partners from around the Europe Union are piloting arts-based and action-oriented methods and developing materials for learning and teaching.
Intercultural competencies are crucially needed in an increasingly interconnected world and global market. The Spaces for Intercultural Learning project aims at gaining new insights on how intercultural competences can be effectively taught and learned through arts-based and action-oriented methods.

TWN hosted teachers and trainers from across the European Union for a Train the Trainer programme
From 15 to 19 May 2017, TWN was proud to host 25 teachers and trainers from across the European Union in Belfast for a Train the Trainer programme to share and learn about one another’s methods in teaching intercultural competencies.
These workshops were a part of our Spaces for Intercultural Learning is funded by the Erasmus+ programme.
As part of the programme, the participants received a tour of Stormont Parliament Buildings and was welcomed to Belfast by:

Additionally, Short Strand Community Forum hosted an evening of entertainment for our guests, including a plated dinner, Irish dancers, hip hop dancers, and a 3-person band.
Erasmus+ ‘Spaces for Intercultural Learning’ Romania kick-off meeting
In October 2016, TWN travelled to Romania for the kick off meeting of our Erasmus+ partnership called ‘Spaces for Intercultural Learning’.
The trip included travel around Romania to Bran Castle and Peleș Castle in Sinaia and visits and meetings in a school in Craiova, in which children performed traditional dances.
During this meeting the partners created the framework for the project and learned about one another.
